Santa Cruz – La Laguna - Anaga
Book a guided tour to the historical towns
Description
Explore the modern and historical capitals of Tenerife, ancient forest, and traditional Canarian towns all in one day! We will start our trip by visiting Santa Cruz, the capital of Tenerife, an important port of the Canaries. Its architecture combines both modern style and old colonial tradition. The main symbol of the city is the opera house Auditorio located on the seaside.
The next stop of our tour will be in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, the old capital of Tenerife. There you will discover the beauty of the colonial style of architecture that dates back to several centuries ago. The historical part of the town was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999.
Finally, we will enter the laurel forest of Anaga, one of the most valuable treasures in all of Europe preserved from the Tertiary period. This place was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2015 by UNESCO for its huge variety of endemic species.
